Photography workshops
Commune Centre for Culture and Reading in Gręboszów
On 21–22 July, the Municipal Centre for Culture and Reading in Gręboszów hosted an exciting Photography Workshop, organised as part of the project "Steadfast from Gręboszowa: Cyfrowa Sztafeta Pamięci 1946–2026".
Young people aged 13-18 had a unique opportunity to explore the secrets of photographic art under the supervision of a professional – Dawid Byśek.
During the two-day classes, participants:
- They learned theory and practice – they learned the principles of composition, using light and proper framing,
- They went outdoors – they honed their photographic skills in the field, looking at the surrounding space from a new, creative perspective,
- They implemented the RE-PHOTOGRAPHY module – an extremely interesting element of the workshop, consisting in recreating shots from old, archival photographs and comparing how well-known places in the commune have changed over the years.
The young people showed great commitment, imagination and artistic sensitivity. The result of their work are unique photographs that combine history with the present.
The effects of the young people's work — photographic frames, re-photography and film materials — were shown on 15 August during an open-air cinema. Re-photography "Gręboszów yesterday and today" is in the Multimedia section.
