Maj. Henryk Sucharski (1898–1946)
Born in Gręboszów, he was an officer of the Polish Army, commander of the Military Transit Depot at Westerplatte. Symbol of the defense of Polish in September 1939 He died on August 30, 1946 in Naples — his ashes rest on Westerplatte.

Stefania Łącka (1914–1946)
Journalist and Catholic activist from Wola Żelichowska (parish Gręboszów). A prisoner of Auschwitz-Birkenau, called by her fellow prisoners "the earthly guardian angel". She died on 7 November 1946 in Kraków; buried in Gręboszów. Her beatification process is underway.

Jakub Bojko (1857–1943)
Activist and folk writer from Gręboszowa — self-taught, long-time village mayor, co-founder of the People's Party, MP and senator of the Second Republic of Poland. A symbol of the emancipation of peasants and building democracy in Galicia. Gminne Centrum Kultury i Czytelnictwa w Gręboszowie is named after him.
