Village owners and founders of churches — from the Middle Ages to the landed estates of Galicia.
Since the Middle Ages, knightly and noble families have been active in the area of the Gręboszów commune: Awdańców, Półkozice, Gryfici, Lubowlite, Łabędzie, and later Melsztyński, Gręboszowski, Tarnowski, Bużyński, Dembiński, Makowiecki and Krasiński.
1287 — the first mention of the village as the property of the Nieczuja family; the name of the village is associated with the name Grembosz (Grębosz) — the alleged founder of the settlement in the Sandomierz Forest (PTTK Małopolska; cf. Okruszyny z Gremboszowa, 1911). In the Old Polish period, Gręboszów belonged to Gręboszowskich; the church from 1650 was founded by Franciszek Dembiński.
At the turn of the 16th/17th centuries, Hieronim Bużyński led to a mass conversion of the inhabitants of the area (Żabno, Gręboszów, Otfinów, Wietrzychowice) to Calvinism — over 80% of the region's population (Wikipedia; cf. the chapter in Krouszyny z Gremboszowa, 1911).
In the nineteenth century, the village was owned by General Józef Załuski; in the northern chapel of the church, it rests in a sarcophagus (the widow Zofia financed the expansion of the temple). The neo-Renaissance palace in Borusowa was erected for Adam Potocki — the Potocki estate included several villages in the region. In the cemetery there is a classicist tomb of the Janota Bzowskis — the last owners Gręboszowa.
