Gręboszów in the Dictionary of Geography (1881)

A fragment of the Geographical Dictionary of the Kingdom of Poland (vol. II, 1881, p. 808) describes Gręboszów as a village at the mouth of the Dunajec River into the Vistula River, in the Dąbrowa County, in the border customs zone, with a Roman Catholic parish (Dąbrowa deanery) and a one-class folk school on the road from Pińczów to Połaniec. *Szematyzm Galicji* (1870, p. 347) mentions in the Dąbrowa deanery (9 parishes) the parish priest in Gręboszów — Henryk Otowski (vice-dean).
The post office was indicated in Siedliszowice; the district court in Dąbrowa.
Brick church from the foundation of Franciszek Dembiński (1650); in the church there is a monument of General Józef Count Załuski (1875, Ludwik Otowski). Parish records from 1651. There are 410 Catholics in the village; in the whole parish — 5190 Catholics and 217 followers of Judaism.
