Late Gothic polyptych in the main altar (Żelichów)

A polyptych from the beginning of the 16th century from a Silesian workshop — transferred from Tymowa in Lower Silesia.
In the main altar of the church of St. Sigismund in Żelichów, a late Gothic polyptych from the beginning of the 16th century has been preserved. The work is attributed to the workshop of Jakub Beinhart and comes from the Evangelical church in Tymowa in Lower Silesia — hence the term "Silesian workshop".
The polyptych is the most valuable element of the furnishings of the wooden temple (register of monuments no. 331), which itself was moved from Pleśna near Tarnów in 1938 and incorporated into the existing manor chapel. In art literature, it is not directly attributed to Wit Stoss – the term "late Gothic, early 16th century, Silesian workshop" is safer.
