War 1944 — Opatowiec, Ujście Jezuickie and victims of the commune

The drama of July 1944 and the balance of losses of the inhabitants of the commune during World War II.
On July 29, 1944, a unit of Vlasov soldiers fought with partisans in Opatowiec, and then — in retaliation for the resistance — pacified Opatowiec and the village of Ujście Jezuickie, murdering several people there. 18 inhabitants were shot in Danielinek near Dąbrowa Tarnowska.
During World War II, 68 people were killed — residents of the Gręboszów commune. The charter complements the military themes from 1914 with the drama of the occupation and liberation on the Vistula River.
