The commune was divided into three GRNs — Borusowa, Gręboszów, Wola Żelichowska — and returned to one commune in 1972.
In 1954, in Poland, the Assembly National Councils were introduced in place of communes. The current commune of Gręboszów was divided into three GRNs: Borusowa, Gręboszów and Wola Żelichowska.
In 1972, the clusters were liquidated, and in their place the Commune National Councils were created. The current villages were added to the Gręboszów commune — a unified local government unit was restored, which functions to this day.
