A network of schools in the same towns as before the war — the development of rural education in the People's Republic of Poland.
In the years 1944–1989, primary schools located in the same towns as during the Second Republic of Poland: m.in. Borusowa, Gręboszów, Ujście Jezuickie, Wola Żelichowska, Zalipie and Żelichów.
Rural schools were the centre of children's and community lives — places of learning, holidays and performances. From 1954 onwards, professional medical care for the inhabitants of the commune developed (in Galicia, before the war, a district doctor was sought in Dąbrowa, Żabno or Szczucin — cf. card [Folk Schools of the XIX w.] (/exhibits/schools-communes-nix-century/)).
